How long should I avoid kissing and lipstick after lip filler?

< 1 min read

To prevent disrupting your freshly placed lip filler and minimize the risk of infection, it’s best to:

  • Avoid Kissing: Avoid kissing or excessive lip movement for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
  • Wait on Lipstick: Hold off on lipstick or lip gloss for the first 24 hours as well.

Why It’s Important:

  • Filler Settling: Kissing and applying pressure to your lips can displace the filler before it settles properly.
  • Cleanliness: Lipstick and kissing introduce bacteria, increasing the risk of infection as the injection sites are still healing.

After 24 Hours: You can gradually resume normal activities like kissing and wearing lipstick. Use a clean lip product and apply it gently.
