Non-Ablative Fractional Laser

What is Sciton Moxi?

Sciton Moxi is a non-ablative fractional laser that delivers targeted laser energy to create micro-coagulation zones within the dermis — stimulating collagen production and cellular renewal without disrupting the skin surface. Unlike ablative lasers, Moxi treats below the surface while leaving the outer skin intact, resulting in minimal to zero social downtime.

At House of Aesthetics Med Spa in Huntington Beach, Sciton Moxi is used as a standalone treatment for tone, texture, and early sun damage — or combined with BBL Hero, PDGF, or PRF for amplified regenerative results. Serving all of Orange County from our Huntington Beach clinic.

Moxi Laser vs Halo Tribrid Laser Huntington Beach
Moxi vs HALO — Know the Difference

Why Choose Moxi Over HALO Tribrid

Moxi and HALO are both Sciton fractional lasers — but they serve different patients and goals. Moxi is the lighter, maintenance-focused option that fits seamlessly into a busy lifestyle. HALO is more aggressive, delivers more dramatic single-session results, but requires 2–5 days of social downtime.

Moxi is ideal for patients in their 20s–40s maintaining healthy skin, anyone who cannot take downtime, or patients building toward HALO-level results gradually over a series. It is also the preferred option for darker skin tones where HALO parameters must be modified.

What Moxi Treats

Skin Concerns Moxi Addresses

From early sun damage to dull, congested skin — Moxi addresses a wide range of concerns with progressive, cumulative results over a series.

01
Early Sun Damage
Moxi targets melanin-absorbing chromophores to address early pigmentation and sun damage before it deepens — preventing spots from becoming more difficult to treat over time.
02
Uneven Skin Tone
Non-ablative fractional energy disrupts uneven pigment distribution and stimulates even cellular turnover — revealing a more uniform, luminous complexion over the treatment series.
03
Skin Texture & Pores
Micro-coagulation zones in the dermis trigger a collagen cascade that gradually tightens pores and smooths skin texture — with cumulative improvement across 3–5 sessions.
04
Fine Lines (Early)
Moxi is most effective on fine, superficial lines caused by early collagen loss — particularly in patients in their 20s and 30s who want to maintain skin before deeper lines develop.
05
Dull, Fatigued Skin
The controlled cellular disruption Moxi creates accelerates skin cell turnover, removing dull, congested surface cells and replacing them with brighter, fresher skin beneath.
06
Preventative Skin Health
Patients who start Moxi in their 20s and 30s build cumulative collagen reserves that keep skin smoother, firmer, and more resilient against aging over the long term.
Moxi Combination Protocols

Power Up Your Moxi Results

Moxi alone delivers excellent results — but paired with BBL Hero, PDGF, or PRF, it becomes a comprehensive regenerative skin treatment.

Moxi + BBL Hero

The most popular combination at HOA. BBL corrects pigment and vascular concerns while Moxi addresses texture and tone below the surface — delivering near-HALO results with minimal downtime.

Moxi + PDGF (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor)

PDGF amplifies Moxi's collagen-stimulating effect by flooding the treated dermis with growth factors immediately post-laser. The result is faster healing, deeper collagen production, and more dramatic texture improvement.

Moxi + PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)

PRF, derived from your own blood, is applied to the skin immediately after Moxi treatment. The growth factors in PRF penetrate the open channels created by the laser — accelerating healing and amplifying collagen output.

Who Is It For?

Are You a Candidate for Sciton Moxi

Moxi is one of the most broadly applicable laser treatments available — suitable for a wide range of skin tones and goals. Every patient receives a personalized treatment plan at our Huntington Beach clinic.

Younger Patients (20s–40s)

Moxi is ideal for patients who want to maintain healthy skin and build collagen reserves before significant damage appears.

Zero Downtime Required

You can't afford 2–5 days of recovery. Moxi's minimal social downtime means you can treat on a Friday and return to work Monday.

Wider Range of Skin Tones

Moxi is safer for a broader range of skin tones than ablative lasers — including Fitzpatrick types IV–V where HALO requires more caution.

Progressive Treatment Goals

You want to build toward HALO-level results gradually with a series of Moxi treatments, or maintain your HALO results between sessions.

Moxi laser Process in Huntington Beach
The Process

What to Expect During Treatment

A Moxi appointment at our Huntington Beach clinic takes approximately 30–45 minutes. Here’s the complete protocol.

#01
SKIN ASSESSMENT & SETTINGS
Your provider evaluates your skin tone, Fitzpatrick type, primary concerns, and treatment history. Moxi energy levels and density are customized for your skin. If combining with BBL, PDGF, or PRF, the full protocol is mapped at this stage.
#02
PREPARATION
The face is cleansed. Topical numbing cream is applied 20–30 minutes before treatment (shorter prep than HALO). If PRF or PDGF is included, the blood draw is performed at this stage so your growth factor preparation is ready post-laser.
#03
MOXI TREATMENT
The Moxi handpiece is passed across the skin, delivering controlled non-ablative fractional energy. The full face takes approximately 20–30 minutes. Most patients describe mild heat and a slight sandpaper sensation. Comfortable and well-tolerated.
#04
RECOVERY & RESULTS
Skin may appear slightly pink for a few hours. Light peeling or bronzing may occur over 2–4 days as treated cells turn over. Social downtime is typically zero to 1–2 days. Results build progressively over the series — most patients notice visible improvement after session 2.

What Our Clients Are Saying

Real patients, real results. Reviews pulled live from Google — not curated.

My girl Kathleen is top notch! I recently went to get a moxi laser and she took so much care to make sure I was properly numbed and offered breaks, drinks, and snacks 🙂 I will becoming back for another moxi + bbl and I really can’t wait. My skin is already so glowy and beautiful!

I've had three BBL+Moxi treatments with Kathleen and could not be happier with the experience. The clinic is nicely updated, modern, and clean with easy parking. Kathleen is a true professional and extremely knowledgeable about the treatments, various skin types, and ensures you receive the maximum benefit of the lasers while always ensuring safety. She also offers the most competitive pricing on BBL+Moxi in all of Orange County. So glad I found Kathleen and House of Aesthetics!

I’ll be the first to admit I’m picky when it comes to aesthetic treatments. After a few previous experiences that were just okay… results that were fine but nothing that truly wowed me, I was cautious about trying someone new. I’m so glad I gave Faye a chance because she has completely changed the game for me. From my very first consultation, Faye took the time to actually listen to my concerns and goals. She never made me feel rushed or like just another appointment on her schedule. She walked me through everything thoroughly, and for the first time I genuinely felt heard and comfortable in the treatment chair. I’ve had BBL+ Moxi with Faye and the results have been incredible. My skin tone and texture have never looked better. I also tried Daxxify for the first time and I am obsessed. Faye’s technique and precision gave me the most natural, refreshed results I’ve ever had. If you’ve had mediocre experiences elsewhere and feel like you haven’t found “your person” yet, Faye is her! I won’t be going anywhere else. Highly, highly recommend!

How much does Sciton Moxi laser cost in Huntington Beach?

At House of Aesthetics Med Spa in Huntington Beach, Sciton Moxi pricing is: Face $700 per session, or $1,800 for a package of 3 sessions ($600/session — save $300). Add-ons: Neck +$200, Chest +$300 per session. Add both neck and chest and receive Hands FREE. Moxi Body: Hands $400, Arms $850, Legs $1,000. Combination pricing: Moxi + PDGF $1,300, Moxi + PRF $1,200, BBL + Moxi $1,150 ($2,760 for 3), BBL + Moxi + PDGF $1,550, BBL + Moxi + PRF $1,350. A $150 deposit is required to book.

How many Moxi treatments do I need?

A series of 3–5 Moxi sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. Unlike HALO, Moxi’s benefit is cumulative — results build progressively with each session. Most patients notice visible improvement in tone and texture after session 2. Annual maintenance sessions sustain results long-term.

What is the difference between Moxi and HALO Tribrid?

Both are Sciton fractional lasers but serve different patients. Moxi is non-ablative — it treats below the surface with zero to 1–2 days downtime. HALO is hybrid fractional (ablative + non-ablative) with 2–5 days downtime and more dramatic single-session results. Moxi Face starts at $700; HALO Tribrid starts at $2,250. Moxi is ideal for maintenance and younger patients; HALO for significant sun damage, scarring, or patients wanting maximum results.

Is there downtime after Sciton Moxi?

Moxi has zero to minimal social downtime. Most patients experience slight pinkness that resolves within hours. Light bronzing or micro-peeling may appear over 2–4 days as treated cells turn over — this is expected and subtle. Most patients treat on a Friday and return to work Monday with no visible signs.

What is Moxi + PDGF or Moxi + PRF?

PDGF (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) are regenerative add-ons applied to the skin immediately after Moxi treatment. The fractional laser creates micro-channels in the dermis — these growth factors penetrate deeply and amplify collagen production, accelerate healing, and enhance overall results. Moxi + PDGF is $1,300; Moxi + PRF is $1,200; BBL + Moxi + PDGF is $1,550; BBL + Moxi + PRF is $1,350.

When will I see Moxi results?

Some patients notice improved radiance within 5–7 days as the surface cells turn over. More significant improvements in tone, texture, and pore appearance develop over 4–8 weeks as new collagen forms. Cumulative results across a series of 3 are substantially more visible than after a single session.

Can Moxi be combined with BBL Hero in the same session?

Yes — the BBL Hero + Moxi combination is one of the most popular treatments at House of Aesthetics. BBL corrects pigmentation and vascular redness at the surface while Moxi stimulates collagen below. Together they address nearly every skin concern with minimal downtime. Face: $1,150/session or $2,760 for 3 ($920/session). Neck and chest add-ons available at the same rates as standalone.

Do you serve patients from Irvine, Newport Beach, and Costa Mesa for Moxi?

Yes — our Huntington Beach med spa welcomes Moxi patients from across Orange County including Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Anaheim, and surrounding communities. We are at 16511 Goldenwest Street, Suite 111, Huntington Beach, CA 92647. Call +1 (714) 596-1053 to book.
